It has been a hot minute since I last had a chance to post. Last week turned into a week where I could try to catch my breath after traveling halfway across the country!
Last Monday, the viola students at the Aaron Copland School of Music had the opportunity to work with Dr. Diane Phoenix-Neal, the viola professor at James Madison University. It was wonderful for them to have a chance to work with her, and helped to bring out a lot in their playing.

Some exciting news with Shadows: The Unaccompanied Viola Sonatas of Günter Raphael. There are two additional platforms now available for accessing my album. One is on the Naxos Music Library! Please feel free to access the link here: https://www.naxosmusiclibrary.com/catalogue/item.asp?cid=AF2401
The other platform that is now available is through Amazon, if you want to buy a physical CD! There were previous glitches taking place, but they have finally been resolved! Here is the link: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CX6PY3BF

Lastly, the part of today’s blogpost that I am most excited to share… (Drumroll, please!) I am going to be interviewed by my dear friend and colleague Ching Juhl’s podcast, “Any Viola Jokes,” on her YouTube Channel, Juhl Media. It will take place on Friday, April 5th, at 5pm. This would be a great time to come in and ask some questions about the album that you might have!

If you have had a chance to listen to SHADOWS, and have enjoyed it, what is it about the album that you have liked? I am curious to hear your feedback! If you haven’t had a chance to get a copy of the album, it is never too late…
