I hope everyone has been savoring the gorgeous summery weather we have been starting to have (at least here in NYC). This month is shaping up to be a busy and fun month! Here are some details about performances I want to share with you!

Today marks 4 months since SHADOWS: The Unaccompanied Viola Sonatas of Günter Raphael has been released into the world! I look forward to sharing Günter Raphael’s music again sometime soon, but for right now other projects are taking center stage!

Today I am performing with the Palisades Sinfonietta! The concert is taking place on Sunday, June 2, 2024 at 4:00pm at the Broadway Presbyterian Church (601 W. 114th Street, New York, NY 10025). Donations can be made at the door. We are performing Bizet’s Adagio, Symphony in C;
Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 2 with Eric Clark as soloist, and Mozart’s Symphony No. 38, The Prague. Michael Avagliano will be conducting us!

On Sunday, June 9th, at 2pm, I will be returning to Carnegie Hall with the Distinguished Concerts Orchestra for We Sing! We Rise! We Soar! The Music of Christopher Tin & Greg Gilpin.

On Saturday, June 15th, at 8pm, I will be performing with the New Haven Symphony Orchestra, on the New Haven Green as part of the International Festival of Arts & Ideas: Celebrate New Haven!

Here is the performance that I am most excited about for June! An Exploration of the Solo Viola Works of Anthony R. Green. I will be speaking with the distinguished composer Anthony R. Green about several of his career and his solo pieces for viola, at the American Viola Society Festival at the Colburn School.

This performance will be taking place on Thursday, June 20, 2024 at 9:15am – 10:15am (Pacific Time Zone) as part of the American Viola Society Festival 2024 at the Colburn School of Music in Los Angeles, California!

I will be playing three beautiful works by Anthony R. Green: Nachtspiel;
Two Pages for Kara (which was written in 2011 in loving memory of my younger sister, Kara L. Williams); and on/Zeker.

Friends in Los Angeles (or those coming to the Festival) please don’t hesitate to reach out to hang out! I will be busy in the time that I am at the festival, but I am looking forward to catching up with friends while I am out there! (I will not have a car and will mainly be downtown this time around!)

It is likely that more performances will be popping up soon, and I will keep you up to date if that happens!
