Would you like some coffee with your viola recital?

I am thrilled to announce that another performance of the Postcards Viola Recital tour has been added. This time it is in Long Island City! I will be performing at Multimodal Roasting, which is at 39-26 24th St, Long Island City, NY. Multimodal Roasting is an amazing creative space– while they produce an extraordinary amount of really fine coffee (made by Regalia Coffee), they also host other events, including coffee roasting classes and monthly cupping (or tasting sessions) hosted by Multimodal’s multitalented founder, Paolo Maliksi! If you want to learn more about them, please check out their website!

Like the other performances on the tour (Thursday, October 31, 8pm CDST, at the University of Northern Iowa; Sunday, November 17, 4pm EST, at Lilypad in Cambridge), I will be performing works by Donna Doyle; A. Leilahua Lanzilotti; Anthony R. Green; Heinrich Ignaz Franz Biber; LJ White; Günter Raphael; Dennis Báthory-Kitsz; and Lev “Ljova” Zhurbin.

Tickets are available for $15; ($10 for Seniors and Students with ID and FREE for Children ages 5-12). Coffee will be available for purchase, along with CD copies of my recent album, SHADOWS: The Unaccompanied Viola Sonatas of Günter Raphael. If you are transit oriented and coming from Manhattan, Multimodal is a short walk from the 21st St.-Queensbridge stop (1st stop in Queens on the F), or the Queensboro Plaza stop (7, N, W), or the Queens Plaza stop (E, M, R). It is also a slightly longer walk from the Court Square stop (E, M, 7, G) for anyone coming from Brooklyn!

In any case, it would be great to see many of you there!
