Today marked our first day in rehearsal gearing up for Sunday’s Parlando concert. It was a fun morning as we began putting our program together. The repertoire is centered around Sidewalk Tango music, and as we are starting to put things together, I think I can say that this is one of my favorite programs that we have done so far, and this is one concert that you should definitely try to attend! We are performing Erwin Schulhoff’s Suite for Chamber Orchestra, WV 58, Unsuk Chin’s Gougalon, and Astor Piazzolla’s Suite Punta del Este, with the legendary JP Jofre performing on bandoneon.
Parlando’s concert will be taking place on Sunday, December 8, at 3pm, at Merkin Hall. I recommend going to Parlando’s website for ticket information, but if you are planning to come, please let me know!
