Good morning, everyone! The 4th Annual Aaron Copland School of Music Viola Day will be held on Wednesday, February 19th, 2025 at Queens College! It is open to Middle Schoolers, High Schoolers, College Students, Adult Professionals and Amateurs who love all things viola and want to have the opportunity to share that love of the alto clef with others!
The official deadline for registration is Friday, February 7th, 2025, at 11:59pm. I will keep the registration open for a few days past that point, but priority for spots in the masterclasses will be going towards people who sign up on-time! Over the weekend I will be sending out part assignments to participants for the Viola Ensemble. One of my favorite parts of Viola Day is trying to put all of the puzzle pieces together. We are at the point now where we have had some participants come every year since the inception of the workshop, and it is amazing to see how their playing has progressed, and in some cases seeing where they end up. It is a great way to showcase the faculty and students who make the Aaron Copland School of Music at Queens College a great place to make music. Something special about this year is seeing how many alumni are signing up to come back and help out, and in some cases, seeing their students join us!
