Spring is rolling through!

I have been admittedly quiet the last few weeks on the various forms of Social Media, including here. A lot of that has to do with trying to make the most of my time just “doing the work” with my nose to the grindstone, and trying to make the most of the positive changes in weather!

Over the past few weeks I have been implementing my first ever Spring Viola Workshops which have been hosted at Opera America. It was has been inspiring for me working with younger violists who are starting to think about various auditions that they have coming up and how to prepare for them. The third and final installation of these workshops will take place next Saturday, April 12th.

I did want to share two performances coming up this week. (More coming up in the weeks ahead!) The first is with the Bronx Arts Ensemble, taking place tonight, April 5, at 7:30pm at St. Paul the Apostle Church in Manhattan. https://www.bronxartsensemble.org/event/spring-concert-04-06-25/

On Monday April 7, at 12:15pm we will be hosting my friend and colleague Douglas Temples at Queens College for a solo recital. Douglas, is working on completing his DMA at the University of South Carolina. I will have the honor of joining him on a duo, the Sonata for Two Violas by Boston-based composer Robert Bonotto. Douglas Temples will be giving a masterclass to several of my students at Queens College on Tuesday, April 8th. I hope you can make it!
